Our story

The Turquoise Shop is a family business. Owned by Catherine Edmonds since 1995, the business was originally owned by Catherine's parents Virginia and Lee Fraser.

What started out on a whim in the late ‘60s led them to open the first shop in 1973 at Hampton Beach. This small seasonal business catered to a “walk-in crowd” of shoppers off the main boulevard on C Street and lasted for 10 years. The Fraser's quickly realized the popularity and demand for Native Jewelry and decided to open year round in their hometown in Nashua NH.

In 1983 they opened at the Central Realty plaza at 337 Amherst St/ Route #101 A in Central Realty Plaza and passed the reins on in 1995.
